Arabian Center, the latest hotspot for shopping, leisure and entertainment located on Al Khawaneej Road, Dubai, has transformed itself into a hub of fun family activities this Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) 2010. The Mall, a key sponsor of this year’s DSF, is hosting the Souris Mini Toy Factory where kids can express their creativity and imagination through designing and decorating their own toys.
The Souris Mini Toy Factory is an interactive workshop where children can make their own toys from scratch. They are given demonstrations and coached on how to customize, create and decorate their toys. The kids can then take their creations home to enjoy and cherish. The workshop is held at Arabian Center every Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 6 pm to 9 pm throughout DSF 2010. It is open to all children from the ages 2 to 14.
Parents have been equally thrilled at the fun their kids are having at the workshop. Mr. Nazam Hamid, who had both his daughter and son take part, said, “Both my kids were so excited about this and I was surprised at how meticulously they designed and decorated their toys. I am certain that these handmade toys will mean so much more to them because of the personal effort that they have put in.”
Commenting on the toy making workshop, Mr. Mathew Thomas, Marketing Manager, Arabian Center, said, “At Arabian Center, we are always looking for new avenues through which the whole family can be entertained and have a satisfying time at the mall. The Souris Mini Toy Factory is one way in which kids can express themselves and enjoy while their parents take in the promotions and discounts of the Dubai Shopping Festival. In fact, toy making is something that even the parents can pick up and have fun with at home with their kids.”
This interactive and creative program aids in encouraging children’s participation, developing individual creativity and learning new skills. The workshop is designed to stimulate creativity and imagination of the kids through the fun and hands-on style of the workshop.
