TNT Express, the world’s leading B2B express delivery company, will launch its new trucking service from Bahrain to Jordan next week.

The twice-weekly Muharraq-Amman route is part of the company’s plan to double its Middle East Road Network (MERN) revenues within the next three years. The company recently launched the region’s first ‘Day Definite’ trucking service to Egypt from the UAE.

“Our economy express freight service has grown by over 40% across the region and the expansion of MERN is a critical factor in facilitating and sustaining this increase,” said Mark Pell, TNT’s Managing Director, Gulf.

“The Levant region is an important market for TNT’s road network and we will be further expanding this service in the first quarter of next year to include Lebanon and Syria.“

The new road express route is the only door-to-door ‘Day Definite’ service from all GCC countries to and from Jordan. TNT will use its state-of-the-art bonded trailers for deliveries to Amman, which has full track and trace technology, customs clearance, GPS tracking and cost effective prices on heavy weight consignments.

“While air freight provides a two day service, its expensive compared to our economy express road product, which is almost half the price, with a transit time of an additional two days,” explained Pell.

The service to Amman will run every Thursday and Saturday. TNT’s other MERN destinations include UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Iran.
