Exciting online competition to win tickets to MINI’s 50th birthday celebration
Next month thousands of MINI fans from across the world will travel to Silverstone in England to take part in the world’s biggest MINI celebration - its 50th birthday party. To ensure that Middle East enthusiasts have the opportunity to join in the host of celebratory activity, MINI has launched an online competition to win tickets to the MINI United Festival 2009 as well as plenty of cool goodies.
Each MINI market in the Middle East is giving away a trip for two people to attend the three day MINI extravaganza including two runner-up prizes from MINI’s lifestyle collection. To participate, residents need to log onto www.MINI-me.com to enter. By answering three questions correctly and getting as many people to vote for them as possible, two lucky individuals from each MINI market will be on their way to celebrate this iconic car‘s 50th birthday.
Sarah Klippert, Manager for MINI in the Middle East said: “MINI United is going to be one enoromous party; over 3,000 MINI cars, the cream of live British music, plenty of motor sport action and entertaining activities all within a unique festival atmosphere. We are delighted to offer these action packed prizes to our valued MINI enthusiasts across the Middle East.”
A non-stop programme of excitment has been prepared from the beginning of Friday 22nd May until sunset on Sunday the 24th May. Headlining at the MINI United Festival 2009 is PAUL WELLER, the massively successful solo artist who is a music icon and a fitting headliner to such a special event. Other acts include some of the UK’s most in-demand bands and DJ’s.
Besides the music programme, visitors can also look forward to a whole variety of activities. The third and fourth races of the popular MINI CHALLENGE Clubsport series will take place as the contestants burn rubber around the world famous circuit. Guests will have the opportunity to drive a couple of laps on the track themselves or with a MINI CHALLENGE driver.
For those a little more nostalgic, the Mini Seven Racing Club will be arranging a race with up to 40 classic Minis. A comprehensive exhibition will also guide fans through the long and rich heritage of the brand. And as if that was not enough, there will be stunt shows, go-kart races, driver training programmes and much, much more.
