Three Turkish soldiers killed in east Turkey explosion

Three soldiers were killed in an explosion which struck a military vehicle in the eastern Turkish province of Tunceli on Friday, security sources told Reuters.

The southeast areas of Turkey which are largely inhabited by the Kurdish minority has suffered repeated outbursts of violence with clashes between government security forces and members of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) following the failure of a ceasefire last year.
