Moroccan- born and French based director Hassan Legzouli’s movie Tenja” (2004) was screened in the DiverCiné Film Festival in Ottawa. Yabiladi reports that “Tenja” was shown in the presence of Mr. Mohamed Tangi, the ambassador of Morocco in Canada, Mr. Daniel Jouanneau, the ambassador of France, and Mr. Mauril Bélanger, Canadian minister responsible for the official languages and democratic reforms.

Tenja tells the story of Nordine (Roschdy Zem), the son of an immigrant Moroccan family living in Northern France, who goes back to Morocco and meets beautiful Nora (Aure Atika). "Zem and Atika have a winning chemistry and the scenery makes it even better,” said Jay Weissberg from Variety.
