One of the Palestinians wanted in the stabbing attack against a Jewish teen near Damascus Gate in the Old City of Jerusalem on Saturday has surrendered to authorities, Israel Radio reported on Sunday.

The suspect, a 16-year-old from east Jerusalem, turned himself in to police once he realized that officers were on their way to arrest him.

In the attack, a 17-year-old Israeli Jew suffered light wounds after he was assaulted upon returning with a friend from praying at the Western Wall.

The stabbing took place as the two Jewish teens were walking along Sultan Suleiman Street. After the teen was stabbed, the other friend left the scene and sought police to alert them of the incident.
