Tanmia, the National Human Resource Development and Employment Authority, has announced their partnership with Emarat, the UAE’s leading national petroleum brand, to provide International Computer Driving License (ICDL) training to UAE National jobseekers registered in the Tanmia database.
The training programme called ‘Emarat’ is expected to significantly enhance the career prospects of National jobseekers, as it will equip them with the required IT skills that have become a prerequisite in the current job market.
“Tanmia has been focussed on making valuable investments to empower UAE National jobseekers with specific skills to handle various challenges and situations in a demanding work environment. We recognise the huge potential of young UAE Nationals and we are certain that with basic training in skills, these jobseekers could excel at the workplace,” said Marwan Al Sawaleh, Assistant Director General and Director of the Employment and Skills Development Center, Tanmia. “We greatly appreciate the efforts of Emarat who have extended their total support in ensuring that the National jobseekers have an opportunity to benefit from the highest standards of training.”
“ICDL training is regarded around the world as one of the most efficient computer proficiency standards and we are glad that we are able to offer this level of training to the National jobseekers registered with us,” he added.

The ICDL training session conducted by experienced trainers, will be in English with adequate Arabic language support. The course will cover a range of IT related topics to ensure basic computer proficiency of the jobseekers.

Tanmia, the National Human Resource Development & Employment Authority in the UAE, was established by a Presidential decree in November 1999, to address the imbalance in the labour market, due to excessive dependence on expatriate workforce.
