ALBAWABA - Swedish counterintelligence police said it had foiled several Iranian attack plots in recent years, Sveriges Radio (SR) reported citing Swedish Radio News.

According to a senior member of the security police, Sweden said on Thursday pro-Iranian group has planned attacks on the country.

Daniel Stenling, counterespionage head at Sweden’s domestic security agency (Säpo) reported to Swedish broadcast (SR), on Thursday, that Iran "has been preparing and conducting activities aimed at carrying out a so-called physical attack against someone or something in Sweden."

"We have worked on a number of such cases where we have, as we gauge it, thwarted such preparations," Stenling maintained, according to Emea Tribune.

In 2021, two Iranian agents are suspected of having plotted the murder of three specific Swedish Jews, which Swedish Radio News revealed earlier this week.

And now Säpo head revealed that there have also been more organized attacks against the country and possible risk of loss of life or casualties.
