ALBAWABA - US officials revealed late Sunday that one shooter was found dead after firefighters were ambushed while responding to a blaze report in the northwestern state of Idaho.
According to American authorities, the suspect in the shooting attack is believed to have acted alone, AFP reported.
"Based on preliminary information, we believe that was the only shooter," Kootenai County Sheriff Robert Norris announced in a press conference.
He added: "There is no threat to the community at this time."
Local media said earlier that an armed man who had a rifle began shooting at firefighters in Idaho, killing two and wounding a third person.
Officials did not reveal his identity at the time, nor did they say what kind of gun was found.
