This year’s Summer Wellness campaign, which commences on June 17, will tackle the vital subject of how to remain healthy during the region’s summer season. Dubai Summer Wellness 2010 addresses the fitness and health issues during UAE’s summer. The programme of activities forms a major part of the Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS) and follows on from last year’s successful inaugural event.
“One of our core objectives at DSS is to support community initiatives during the summer event. Helping and guiding people to stay healthy in the summer is a great addition to our event,” said Mohammad Al Kamali, Marketing Director at Dubai Events and Promotions Establishment. “It was an easy decision to continue with the Summer Wellness campaign for 2010, as it proved to be a big hit last year, with thousands of shoppers visiting its stands to receive free health-related advice and information,” he added.
Summer Wellness 2010 will visit a number of major shopping malls over the 52-day DSS period. Popular centres included in the programme are Dubai Mall, Dubai Festival City, Dubai Marina Mall, Wafi and Mercato. Each of the individual mall’s activities will have its own theme and customers wanting healthy tips and a personal health check-up can look forward to a schedule of events that includes free health screenings, cookery shows, fitness demonstrations, quizzes, competitions, edutainment activities and consultations from experts.
