starlink receives ‘best retailer’ at showtime awards
Starlink, Qatar’s premier telecommunications and media entertainment retailer, emerged as the Best Retail Network in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) at the first Showtime Awards held in Dubai last week.
Starlink launched its new Communications, Media and TV Entertainment Retail Distribution Business in Qatar during the 3rd Quarter of 2006. With less than a year’s presence in the Qatari market, the award reinforces Starlink’s rapid growth and strong performance since the launch of its operations.
Starlink was among 90 regional distributors considered for the no.1 retailer award, many with an established presence in the region. To top the day’s success story, Starlink was also recognised with a second award for Highest Net Growth retail business..

Prior to the awards, Starlink was selected as one of Showtime’s top 15 Distributors in MENA and invited to participate in an exclusive 2-day product and channel line-up convention. Starlink received further recognition in the Service Level category which covers a broad set of criteria, including fault response times, quality of customer care, staff training, etc., all designed to ensure the highest standards for customers. Starlink staff are repeatedly recognized for their high scores in staff training and overall, the support team is currently hitting its Showtime set Service Level Agreement (SLA) obligations circa +90% of the time, based on providing a phone response same day to a customer maintenance issue and full resolution within 48 hours, and continues to improve its performance in this area in line with its goal to be 100% on SLA target.
