Stargate, the newly opened indoor family entertainment centre located at Gate 4, Zabeel Park, launches "Football Fiesta", a month long event that will give young football fans under 20 years and families the opportunity to enjoy all the matches absolutely free on a gigantic cinema sized screen with sound to match.
Football Fiesta will coincide with the FIFA World Cup that kicks off in South Africa on June 11th. Stargate will show the LIVE matches in two viewing zones. The larger viewing area will have a capacity of over 400 people and will broadcast the matches on a 6 x 6 meter screen. The other viewing zone with a seating capacity of 80 will be showing the matches in 3-D for the very first time, on the world's largest 103 inch high-definition plasma from Panasonic. The sensational high-definition viewing experience will guarantee an absolute treat for football enthusiasts.
"World Cup matches are best enjoyed in large groups and almost all the major screenings happen in either clubs or bars which prohibit entry to fans under 20. Stargate is all about entertainment so we felt the need to come to the rescue of fans under 20 and entertain them with the world's most popular sport. The Football Fiesta promises fans a carnival atmosphere with a wide selection of football games, FIFA merchandise, face painting, skill contests with big prizes and a whole lot more. Football fans will also get the opportunity to rub shoulders with football stars from GCC Championship winners Al Wasl Club on 18 June, 25 June and 2 July," said Jesse Vargas, CEO of OSUS Facilities Management LLC.
The month-long festival will feature a wide variety of football themed games that will entertain fans and families. It will also host a series of football skill contests themed 'Show Off & Win' conducted by Active Sports Academy where football enthusiasts can put their football skills to the test and win big prizes from Microsoft Xbox 360 and Monster.
