Sony Gulf Pledges Financial Support for Flood Relief in Pakistan

Sony Gulf, the regional arm of consumer electronics giant Sony, today announced it has contributed US$100,000 towards flood relief efforts in Pakistan. Sony Gulf has coordinated with the Pakistan Red Crescent Society to ensure the benefits of its community involvement initiative adequately reach the victims of recent floods in Pakistan.

Osamu Miura, Managing Director, Sony Gulf, said: "We extend our sympathies to people affected by these natural disasters. Our contribution validates Sony's continued commitment to humanitarian relief throughout the world. We believe it is our responsibility to provide the necessary assistance that will enable them to rebuild their future."

As a responsible global corporate citizen, Sony continues to undertake various social initiatives based on its Group policy, which states: 'To undertake activities in fields where Sony is best able to do so, to help address the needs of communities in which Sony operates'.
