Silkor Laser Medical Center – the leading chain of laser hair removal, laser medico-aesthetic and skin treatment services across the region – today announced the launch of a revolutionary skin laser resurfacing technology in the Middle East. The new Silkor UltraPulse Encore Fractional CO2 Laser Resurfacing Device, the first-of-its-kind laser technology available in the Middle East, is set to usher in a new era in skin treatments.
The latest Silkor laser device sourced from Lumenis - the worldwide leader in medical and aesthetic laser and light-based systems – provides the industry-best ablative resurfacing treatments unheard of in the region. The UltraPulse Fractional CO2 Laser represents the latest innovation in laser resurfacing.
The launch of the new skin rejuvenation treatment will go a long way in turning the clock back on wrinkles, as also removing scar traces left by skin disorders, tightening, and clearing of the skin. The secret of the fractional laser beam is its ability to break up or "fractionate" into many small micro beams which are separated so that when they strike the skin's surface there are small areas of the skin between the beams which are not hit by the laser and left intact. The areas which are treated by the fractional micro beams, called micro treatment zones, cause sufficient laser injury to promote new collagen production and resultant facial skin rejuvenation. The small untreated areas aid in promoting much more rapid recovery and healing with less risk of complications.
Lara Tarakjian, Executive Director at Silkor Group of Companies, said: "We are thrilled to unveil this revolutionary UltraPulse Fractional CO2 Laser Resurfacing Device in the Middle East, and this is part of our mandate to offer the best innovation in the markets we operate in. The treatment is FDA approved and offers unmatched safety and ensured quality outcomes for our customers. Offering the entire range of services, the CO2 laser device offers the best incision, ablative and endoscopic aesthetic procedures for effective skin laser resurfacing."
The UltraPulse Encore laser device comes with two hand pieces – the Active FX Ultra Encore CPG used for superficial lesions, skin resurfacing, fine lines, skin texture, open pores and dark spots, which fractionally laser ablates the surface of the skin down to a depth of 70-100 microns; and the Deep FX micro ablation for deep lesions, deep wrinkles as well as scars, which has the ability to reach much deeper into the skin, around 600-1000 microns in depth, and can produce much more effective wrinkle removal and skin rejuvenation.
As part of its implementation strategy, Silkor also organized a training program at Lumenis in Italy for its employees on the Fractional CO2 Laser Resurfacing technology under the able supervision of Dr Matteo Tretti Clementoni – one of the top experts in the field across the globe.
"At Silkor, we are focused on developing and delivering premium laser services with innovative treatments aimed at enhancing customer satisfaction and convenience. Within the mandate of this, we are happy to unveil the UltraPulse Encore Fractional CO2 Laser Resurfacing Device in the Middle East. We remain committed to offer the latest developments in laser medical equipment, services and proficient standards for our customers. Silkor has earned its reputation for delivering customized treatments and bringing real benefits to the consumer," said Amal Rashkidi, Corporate Medical Director at Silkor.
What makes the UltraPulse Fractional Laser Device special is that clients would only require one or two sessions every six months, compared to the conventional 5 to 5 sessions every month for laser skin resurfacing. "The nice advantage is that our clients can come in and get fascinating results; the satisfaction levels are high, it allows for far lower collateral thermal damage and a considerable reduction in patient pain and complications, plus the fact that it is highly effective on all skin problems, whether it is scars, acne scars, fine lines, texture, dyschromia or deep wrinkles," added Rashkidi.
As laser resurfacing has evolved over the past several years, one thing remains the same: CO2 is the most effective modality for ablative resurfacing, and UltraPulse Encore is the CO2 laser technology of choice.
