ALBAWABA- A new earthquake struck Islamabad on Thursday, shaking Pakistan’s capital and several northern cities, including Peshawar, Mardan, and Murree, according to local reports.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department confirmed that tremors from a 5.4-magnitude earthquake were felt across Islamabad and northern districts such as Swat, Abbottabad, Mansehra, and Peshawar. The epicenter was located in southeastern Afghanistan, near the Pakistani border.
This comes just two days after a quake of the same magnitude rattled the capital and northern regions on September 2.
Authorities said no casualties or damage have been reported so far, though residents in affected areas were forced to evacuate homes and offices in panic.
