Saudi Arabia coach Nasser al-Jawhar has stepped down following poor results in recent World Cup qualifying games. Saudi football federation head Prince Sultan Bin Fahd said in a statement that al-Jawhar will continue working as a technical adviser for the federation. Saudi Arabia lost 1-0 to North Korea on Wednesday.
According to PA, Johar took over from Brazilian tactican Helio Cesar dos Anjos in June last year but came under increasing pressure following the 2-0 World Cup qualifying loss to South Korea in Riyadh in October.
