Riyadh and Sanaa have signed an agreement to combat inter-border arms smuggling and terrorism, following reports that explosives used in the recent Riyadh attacks may have come from Yemen, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Monday.
The pact to "regulate border authorities," between the two neighboring countries was signed in Riyadh Sunday by Yemen’s Interior Minister Rashad al-Olaimi and his Saudi counterpart Prince Nayef bin Abdul Aziz.
Prince Nayef hoped the agreement would "considerably limit terrorist activity and control smuggling operations", noting that the current climate required "decisive and effective measures". (Albawaba.com)
