Saudi King Fahd Saturday ordered General Majed bin Talhab Watabi to step down as commander of the kingdom's airforce.
King Fahd ordered Watabi to quit his post July 1 at the request of Crown Prince Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz and Defense Minister Sultan bin Abdul Aziz, the official SPA news agency reported.
King Fahd appointed Major General Attiya bin Abdul Hamid Al-Turi as his successor. (Albawaba.com)
