After a successful screening in Karak, the RFC road show moves onto the city of Aqaba where they will host another Jordanian short film evening on the 26th of May 2006, at the Great Arab Plaza Revolt Amphitheatre. The screening will start at 8 pm, and will present seven Jordanian short films created and directed by emerging Jordanian youth. The evening will be open to everyone and free of charge.

The Royal Film Commission invites the citizens of Aqaba to enjoy an evening of a Jordanian look and feel where themes of youth, reality versus dreams, and social obstacles will be embraced by the works of Jordanian filmmakers and story tellers.

Lasting for one hour and a half, the show will include “Talween”, “Youm Zenon”, “Falling" “My Jihad”, “Countryside vs. City”, “Caution….Comment ahead”, “Suffi Suffi” and “The Nerd”.

RFC cordially invites all Jordanians to participate in absorbing the newly born Jordanian film industry, and the experiences of Jordanian talents.

About The Royal Film Commission of Jordan
The Royal Film Commission (RFC) of Jordan was established in July 2003 with a goal of developing and promoting an internationally competitive Jordanian audio-visual industry through building the human, technical and financial capacity of Jordanian talents by means of holding high-level workshops, seminars, competitions, and screenings conducted by professionals from all over the world, in addition to providing production support services to local, regional and international productions.

As a financially and administratively autonomous Jordanian government body, the Royal Film Commission is  led by a board of Commissioners chaired by His Royal Highness Prince Ali Bin Al-Hussein and is the sole Middle Eastern member of the Association of Film Commissioners International (AFCI).  The RFC was recently recognised for its dynamic use of various marketing tools at the AFCI Marketing awards 2006.

The Royal Film Commission believes that filmmaking is a form of creative expression that transcends borders to produce art void of cultural boundaries through the sharing of stories, thoughts and ideas.   RFC aims at  promoting  Jordan as a staunch supporter of Intellectual Property Rights.
