Romanian President Ion Iliescu Sunday praised UAE President Shaikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, as the architect of UAE and strong element of stability and economic prosperity not only in his country but also around the world, according to Khaleej Times.
“The UAE is enjoying today unprecedented stability and prosperity thanks to the leadership genius of Shaikh Zayed,” Iliescu said in an interview to Al Bayan on Sunday.
“Romania is looking forward to entering into major agreements with the UAE on political, trade and economic cooperation to further develop bilateral relations,” he added. He expressed that his visit aims at laying down a framework for the enrichment of UAE-Romania ties.
The Romanian President said his discussions with Shaikh Zayed and senior UAE officials would deal mainly with the global anti-terrorism campaign, regional peace and stability as well as other topics of mutual interest. (Albawaba.com)
