Twelve Turkish soldiers have been hurt when their military vehicle was caught up in a roadside bomb blast which is being blamed on the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK).

The device, planted near the Mus-Diyarbakir/Kulp highway in the east of the country, was reportedly detonated while a military vehicle passed by on Tuesday.

One of the 12 soldiers is believed to be in a serious condition in Mus State Hospital.
