Saudi Arabia and Yemen said during a meeting of their coordination council in Sanaa Saturday that they were determined to join forces in fighting "terrorism."

"We are resolved to work together to combat terrorism and return those who practice it to the right path," Yemeni Prime Minister Abdul Qader Bajammal said at the opening of the meeting co-chaired by Saudi Defense Minister Prince Sultan bin Abdul Aziz.

"Yemen has made many sacrifices in its fight against terror, and bilateral cooperation (with Riyadh) in this domain is essential to ensure the security and stability" of both countries, he said, quoted by SABA news agency.

Bajammal said a security agreement signed by the two neighbors in June was "proceeding well."

Prince Sultan, on his part, said the two countries should "step up cooperation to shield our countries from the threat" of “terror”. (Albawaba.com)
