Israeli soldiers in the Gaza Strip opened fire overnight on head of the Palestinian preventive security, Mohammed Dahlan, as his car drove away from an Israeli army roadblock, reported Haaretz newspaper, quoting the Israeli Radio.
The paper, however, said that there were no signs that the bullets hit the vehicle.
The Israeli army has not confirmed the report, said the paper.
