Red Hat, Inc. (NASDAQ:RHAT), the world’s leading provider of open source, today announced that it will be attending the 26th Gulf Information Technology Exhibition (GITEX). At the event, Red Hat will introduce its newly integrated JBoss solutions to its Middle Eastern partners, and detail the company's plan for partner activities in the region.
As part of the company’s continued business development in the Middle East, Red Hat is attending GITEX to support its partner activities in the region. This is the first time that Red Hat will be exhibiting at the GITEX exhibition, signaling its continued investment in the Middle Eastern market. Red Hat has a number of partnerships with distributors in the Middle East, including Linux Plus, Daleelteq and OpenNET.
Francois Lucatelli, Channel Manager for the Middle East at Red Hat, and Chris Mills, Manager of Systems Engineering for Europe, the Middle East and Africa at JBoss, a division of Red Hat, will host a conference at GITEX on Sunday, 19th of November, to present the new Red Hat and JBoss solutions to partners and distributors in the region. Red Hat’s first JBoss customer in the Middle East, Daleelteq, will also be present at the conference. Red Hat completed its acquisition of JBoss in June. By acquiring JBoss, the global leader in open source middleware, Red Hat is now positioned to accelerate the shift to service-oriented architectures (SOA) and enable the next generation of web-enabled applications running on a low-cost, secure open source platform.
"Regional Advanced Partners play a pivotal role in our global development and long term business strategy," said Francois Lucatelli, Channel Manager for the Middle East at Red Hat. "GITEX provides an excellent opportunity for us to demonstrate the benefits of combined Red Hat and JBoss solutions to our Middle Eastern Partners."
The GITEX exhibition is taking place from the 18 – 22 November 2006 in the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre. The Red Hat booth will be located in the Sheik Rashid Hall at stand W9-1.
