QInvest LLC, the largest investment bank in Qatar, appoints Shahzad Shahbaz as CEO.
Shahzad Shahbaz has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer of QInvest LLC, a Qatar Financial Authority licensed Category 1 investment bank.
A twenty-five year veteran of Bank of America, Shahzad Shahbaz joins QInvest from Emirates NBD Group where he was CEO of the Investment Bank. He joined the predecessor NBD group in July 2006 as CEO of NBD Investment Bank and successfully established a regional investment banking, asset management and private equity business.
Prior to leaving Bank of America, he was head of their regional investment banking platform for Europe, Middle East, and Africa in London where he was based for about 13 years. During his 25 years with Bank of America in various locations in their Global Corporate and Investment Banking Group he was involved in a broad range of financing, investment, capital markets and advisory transactions in both the developed and emerging markets. He was also involved in setting up several new businesses in the investment banking and capital markets areas.
