ALBAWABA - Qatar's military succeeded in foiling attacks on Hamad International Airport, Majed al-Ansari, the foreign ministry spokesperson announced on Tuesday.
After the attack on Iran by the United States and Israel last Saturday, Tehran launched a huge operation, launching drones and missiles across the Gulf targeting American bases and sites.
"There were attempts to attack Hamad International Airport; they were all thwarted... the missiles were downed by our defensive measures, and none of them has reached the airport," al-Ansari told a press conference.
He added Qatar had not been in contact with Iran since the start of the regional escalation.
In addition, QatarEnergy announced halting operations across its chemical and downstream sectors.
