The Princess Sumaya University for Technology (PSUT) conducted this month a two-week course entitled “Mastering MS Windows XP and MS Office with an Introduction to .NET Technology”, for a number of distinguished Tawjihi graduates.
The course took place at PSUT’s King Hussein School for Information Technology, and featured the participation of this year’s graduates of the General Secondary Education (Tawjihi) certificate. The course aimed at enhancing the IT-based skills for the Tawjihi graduates, prior to their higher education studies. The sessions were held daily for three hours, and conducted by two of PSUT’s senior supervisors, Mr. George Sammour and Ms. Laila Al-Sayyaydeh.
More than 35 of the high-ranking Tawjihi graduates attended this course, representing 14 private and public schools in Amman. At the end of the course, Professor Hisham Ghassib, president of PSUT, gave patronage to the graduation ceremony that was held at the university’s main theater on August 14.
In his speech at the graduation ceremony, Professor Ghassib praised the Tawjihi graduates on their achievement, and stated, “It is great seeing the elite of Jordanian students joining us today at the Princess Sumaya University for Technology, which is regarded among the distinguished universities in Jordan on account of its highly-qualified graduates.”
Professor Ghassib pointed out that PSUT is proud to be the first to honor the top-ranking Tawjihi graduates in such a way, and welcomed the Tawjihi graduates saying, "We, at PSUT, are pleased to honor such outstanding students with high scholarly standards, which I hope you will sustain during your academic studies.”
Later on, Professor Ghassib briefed the Tawjihi graduates on PSUT’s scholarship program and its terms.
