The Prime Minister's edict

According to BNA, the Prime Minister Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has issued edict No. 25 for the year 2005, on forming a high committee for Information technology and communication concerning the directives of carrying out the E Government.
The new committee aims at insuring comprehensive plans and strategies all over the Kingdom to develop IT as well as coordinate with different establishments in this field.
The committee also aims at removing obstacles facing IT in government sector and unify efforts for achieving further strategies and plans to implement the E - Government , using it in all the ministries and governmental bodies.
According to the edict,, an IT committee to be formed with the chairmanship of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and the membership of the following : -- Transportation Minister Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa.
-- Minister of Prime Minister's Court Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa.
-- Minister of Municipalities and agriculture affairs Ali Al-Saleh.
-- Interior Minister Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa.
-- Minister of Industry and Commerce Dr.Hassan bin Abdullah Fakhro.
-- Minister of education Dr.Majid Al-Noami.
-- Minister of State for Cabnet affairs Dr.Abdul-Hussain Mirza.
-- Minister of Finance Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa.
--- Minister of Social Affairs Dr.Fatima bint Mohammed Al-Beloushi.
The edict also stated the formation of a committee to cooperate with the main high Committee of Information Technology and Communication including representatives from Governmental and Private sectors as following :
-- Central Information Organization.
-- Transportation Ministry.
-- Ministry of education.
-- Ministry of Information.
-- Ministry of Health.
-- Ministry of Municipalities and Agricultural affairs.
-- Ministry of Justice.
-- Bahrain Monetary Agency (BMA) .
-- Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
-- Bahrain University.
-- Bahrain Inernet operator.
-- Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
-- Bahrain Telecommunication Company.
-- IT society.
-- Bahrain Journalists society.
-- A neutral expert.
The Prime Minister also issued edict No. 26 for the year 2005 , amending timetable No. 3 which is accompanied to the Insurance Social Law issued by law No. 24 for the year 1976 replacing the time table along with this edict.
