Speaker of the Palestinian National Council (PNC) Salim Zaanoun said on Tuesday that Kuwaiti-Palestinian ties would witness "tangible rapprochement," notably after Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah met Palestinian President Yasser Arafat on the sidelines of the Amman Arab summit late March, reported Bahrain’s news agency (GNA).
Zaanoun told the Kuwait paper Al-Seyassah that he was happy to receive an invitation by the Kuwait minister to visit Kuwait.
Zaanoun said he maintained good ties with members of the Kuwaiti parliament, and praised Kuwait’s support for the Intifada, GNA quoted him as saying.
