Panasonic launched two new HDMI cables capable of high speed data transfer, a requisite for today’s High Definition and 3D technology.

The HX series is designed for 3D entertainment and high-end AV products, where as the HS series is ideal for future digital formats like Deep Color, and Full HD 3D.

Currently all Panasonic HDMI cables with Version 1.4, are rated as “High Speed” categorized by HDMI Licensing, LLC and are capable of handling high levels of broad data such as 4K x 2K resolution, 3D high definition or Deep Colour.

“Demand exists from high-end AV users for exceeding performance over existing hardware requirements and the new Panasonic HX series will deliver extremely high performance which is even qualified for professional studio monitoring,” said Hitesh Ojha, Senior Manager, Panasonic Marketing, Middle East.

Thanks to its high data transfer capability and easy handling, the HDMI Cable has already been adopted by a wide range of digital devices. These innovative HD sources demand extremely high data transfer speeds which Panasonic’s new HS series offers.

In the near future, even more advanced digital image and sound formats will be available such as 4K x 2K resolution, Full HS 3D and Deep Color.

Adding to the existing triple layer shielding cable line, the new HS cables have been implemented with a zinc die cast plug case, which seamlessly covers cable ends and blocks noise leakage. As a result, the noise emitted has been minimized to the level of 14dB buffer from FCC regulation. With the new HS cables, one can enjoy detailed image and sound from the latest digital formats without any noise interference.

“Panasonic’s new HS series is the perfect choice for those who do not want to invest again in cables when adding or upgrading new HD components in the future,” added Ojha.

Several unique features have been incorporated to realize the professional performance.

SCCS (Silver plating Copper Clad Steel) Cable

With the HX series, silver coated solid metal composite of 0.32mm width is used for cord instead of ordinal twisted copper line.  The metal composite has excellent characteristics for transmitting low frequency signals and is also coated silver for high frequency signals. It delivers a pure digital signal for the best picture and sound.

Superb Noise Shield

Cutting edge digital sources like 4K x 2K resolution and 3D high definition demand extremely high data transfer rates and also high levels of noise shielding to the cord.  By adding a triple layer shielding cord, the HX series inside plug is shielded with a metal case and the plug itself is protected by a zinc die cast metal cover. As a result, the electro magnetic interference has been minimized dramatically.

Flat Shape Cable

The flat shape of the cord keeps adequate distance between the inside lines and therefore avoids signal interference between them.  Although a comparatively thick solid cord is used for the HX series, thanks to the flatness, it is still flexible enough to bend without data interruption. Connection becomes easier, even in the tight space behind flat screen TVs.

HX series will be an indispensable component for high-end AV users, custom installers and recording studios who all require a professional performance.

As the leading developer of Digital AV products, Panasonic remains committed to playing the leading role in the development of both HDMI enabled devices and HDMI cables.
