Palestinians warn BBC that if it does not air the commercial it will be violating European Convention of Human Rights. Israelis threaten BBC will be sued for supporting terror if it does.

Lawyers of the London law firm Hickman & Rose have sent a letter of warning to the BBC, threatening the broadcaster with legal action if it does not air the commercial appealing for aid for Gaza. The firm is representing two Gaza residents and one British citizen. The letter was said to accuse the BBC of "irrational or unlawful" actions which were against the European Convention of Human Rights.

An Israeli settler meanwhile sent a legal letter of warning which threatened the BBC with responsibility for potential terrorist actions, saying that the BBC could be sued by victims of Palestinian attacks for raising money that benefited the Palestinians, as money sent to Gaza would inevitably fall under the control of Hamas.

While these arguments continue, the BBC continues to refuse to air the commercial. However, the commercial has been shown on other television channels in the United Kingdom. The group behind the commercial, the Disasters Emergency Committee (known as DEC), reported today that it had raised 3 million UK Pounds, and that is had provided food, blankets and water for nearly 800,000 people in Gaza.
