At least 814 suspected Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) militants have been killed in operations carried out by Turkey’s security forces between July 22 and Aug. 24, figures compiled by Anadolu Agency reveal.

The data were obtained from various security sources, including Turkish General Staff official statements as well as police and gendarmerie sources.

In addition, more than 450 suspected PKK members have been injured in various operations against the group in northern Iraq, including the Qandil Mountain.

Also, more than 300 others were wounded inside Turkey, security forces numbers show.

The PKK has been designated a terrorist organization by Turkey, the US and the EU.

At least 50 security personnel have been martyred, reportedly by the PKK, as tensions in the southeastern region of Turkey have flared up since a bombing linked to Daesh on July 20 in Suruc, which claimed the lives of 34 people.
