MECL today announced details of its exciting new PLAYSTATION®3 (PS3™) bundles that will launch throughout the Kingdom at a highly attractive price starting at 1,749 SR.
Along with an ever expanding line-up of PS3 titles (a total of around 200 titles tracking across all genres ), the new PS3 is equipped with a 80GB HDD and includes all the features central to the High Definition entertainment experience; true next generation gameplay, stunning High Definition Blu-ray Disc™ movies, SIXAXIS™ wireless controller, Wi-Fi and HDMI connectivity, all powered by the Cell Broadband Engine™, the digital heart of PS3.
The introduction of the new PS3 has been determined following user feedback from thousands of existing PS3 owners as well as research into future potential PS3 owners. The new model features two USB 2.0 ports which is the same as the 40GB model. The new model also comes with the Dual Shock 3 Wireless controller which will give more excitement to the customers.
The exciting bundles include the new software Motor Storm2/Resistance2 and FiFA09 along with the Starter Pack which consists of 2 Platinum games and 2 Dual Shock controllers. All these bundles will be available throughout the kingdom from the 20th of November.
November 19th is also a first in the history of Saudi Arabia as it was the first time a “ Gamers Day “ event is taking place where the youth can come and try the new games which will be available in the market in the next 2-3 months. According to Mr. Bader AlSwailem, GM ( MECL ), this is an initiative taken by MECL and Sony Computer Entertainment which will allow the Gamers of KSA to experience the new generation games before it is launched in the market. We are planning to make this a yearly event.
