Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei on Tuesday appointed Brigadier-General Karim Qavami as Air Force commander. According to IRNA, the Iranian Supreme Leader "appreciated services of the former Air Force commander Brigadier-General Reza Pardis."
Meanwhile, Ayatollah Khamenei appointed Brigadier-General Hessam Hashemi to head the intelligence office of the Armed Forces.
