ALBAWABA - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has warned that Israel will delay the Gaza ceasefire, which was scheduled to start at 630 GMT, unless Hamas send the list of names of hostages who will be released.
Hamas responded to Netanyahu's threat and justified the delay in sending the hostages list is due to 'technical reasons'. It also confirmed its commitment to the terms of the agreement.
Hamas and Israel agreed on a ceasefire deal last Wednesday, Jan. 15, after talks in Doha, Qatar. The Gaza ceasefire is expected to be implemented in three stages.
Qatari PM Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani hailed the agreement and said it would be effective today, Jan. 19.
CNN revealed that the first phase of the ceasefire deal will last six weeks and it includes the withdrawal of Israeli troops, a swap of hostages and prisoners, and an increase of humanitarian aid into Gaza.
Qatari Prime Minister also said that the second and third phases are less developed, and talks on their details will start during the first phase.
