Qassim Sultan, Director General of Dubai Municipality, is scheduled to open Ned Shama Park on Monday for the Municipalities Week activities, according to Gulf News.
Flowers and more than sixty thousand plants are due to be handed out to people in honor of this event. In addition, a booklet about the significance of making the city green will be distributed to the public.
Moreover, the municipality will install on the main roads 12 paintings showing the importance of landscaping. A radio competition on agriculture will also take place as well as a special program, held in cooperation with Dubai Electricity and Water department, to increase awareness regarding the significance of water for health.
