Nando's, the international Afro-Portuguese chain of restaurants and the home of the peri-peri flame grilled chicken, congratulates the four Kidz Art Initiative grand prize winners. Emma Pincha, Neha Rathi, Hanan Kazi and Rawdha Riyaz took home bumper prizes which included a family package for an overnight stay at the Atlantis with unlimited access to Aquaventure and The Lost Chambers. The winners' paintings will be put on display on the first 'Wall of Flame' at Nando's on Sheikh Zayed Rd.

"Nando's received over 6000 entries and we would like to congratulate each and every participant for their contribution to this initiative. We are thrilled to know that so many young minds have strong opinions on Healthy Eating and Better Living in the UAE. At Nando's we are dedicated to giving our Little Grown Ups wholesome meal options through our new Kidz Menu. This initiative was launched to help kids and adults make wiser and healthier choices when it comes to eating right and it gives us great joy to see the overwhelming response," said Sonam Eapen, Nando's Marketing Manager.

The Nando's Kidz Art Initiative was launched in the month of May and invited children aged 7 to 12 across the emirates to design a poster on the subject – 'Paint today your healthy tomorrow'. Entries were reduced to 100 finalists. A judging panel - made up of ReshmaGovindjee, director of ArtHouse Marina; Katya Trabulsy, renowned contemporary artist; and Hala Barghout a nutritionist from Lively –selected the final grand prize winners. Final pieces were picked based on artistic talent, creativity and on how well the theme of the competition was portrayed.

"We had a very hard time picking just three grand prize winners as all the entries showed the kids' exceptional creativity and talent. It was a pleasure reviewing all the fantastic paintings exhibited at the Arabian Centre. This initiative was a great way to get children to think about a healthy lifestyle and we are happy to have been a part of it," said the judges in a collective statement.

Nando's is a great choice for both adults and Little Grown Ups. Nando's halal butterfly-cut chicken is trimmed of fat, marinated in Nando's Afro-Portuguese sauce for 24 hours and then basted in your choice of lemon and herb, mild, hot or extra hot peri-peri sauce. Nando's chicken is high in protein and lower in fat and sodium, not to mention that it is also free of artificial preservatives, added MSG and colorants!

Little Grown Ups visiting any Nando's restaurant can also enjoy a wholesome, nutritious and tasty meal thanks to Nando's brand new Kidz Menu. This Menu includes nutritional meal options for children including a Chicken Burger Meal, Chicken Drumsticks Meal and Chicken Strips Meal. All Nando's Kidz meals come with a choice of a small side order. Unlike kids' meal options at other restaurants, each Nando's Kidz meal is served with fresh fruits or vegetables and a juice.
