Egyptian actress Nada Basyouni has revealed that the postponed debut of her latest movies has given her a serious depression.
In an interview with ‘Al Sharq El Awsat’ daily, the actress said that she does not know the reason why her most recent films were delayed.
She added that the movies involved are Harat Al Butulat (The Hero’s Corner), scheduled to be released on October 6, and Ihna Bitou El Matar (We Are the Airport People) in which she co-stars with Faruq Fishawi.
Nada also said that the depression she suffers has caused the actress to postpone her latest movie Samira Moussa (name), based on the true story of the famous Egyptian Nuclear Physicist, who was assassinated by the Israeli Intelligence Office, the Musad.
Meanwhile, her rutty state of mind has not stopped her from filming her latest series Al Kheir Yantasir Ahyan (Good Sometimes Wins), a story by Mahmoud Salem, directed by Ashraf Salem. Co-starring with Nada in this series are Ahmad Khalil, Hisham Abdullah, Afaf Sheib and Sawsan Badr.
As for the storyline, the series talks about a doctor, Doha, who falls in love with a colleague. However, the doctor’s family refuses the union because of a social difference. The family forces Doha to leave the country, but discovers that she has already married her boyfriend secretly. The family then keeps Doha locked up. However, as the title suggests, love prevails in the end.
This series comes after Nada’s latest Wallah Ma Ana Saket (I Swear I Will Not Be Quiet), where she portrays a newly discovered singer from Egypt’s famous Mohammad Ali street. The actress debuts her singing talents in this series.
“I believe that this role is an important one in my life and career, since I thrive on innovation and change,” says the actress - Albawaba.com.
