Mohammed Bin Rashid Programme for Leadership Development (MBRPLD), an innovative leadership program designed to develop future national leaders capable of promoting the sustainable development of Dubai, has announced that it has recently concluded the "Leading with Impact" training module as part of several periodic activities for participants of MBRPLD's Government Leaders Program. The new period training module has been developed to focus on each participant's inherent skills in communication and decision-making process.
Leading with Impact enabled the Government Leaders Program participants to explore and enrich their leadership skills by identifying the specific roles that best suit their potential amid a culturally diverse society. MBRPLD has also incorporated a segment that helped participants strengthen their communication and conversation skills, particularly under difficult circumstances such as delivering tough messages wherein they have to manage their own emotions and deal with those who have a different point of view.
"Successful leaders are those who deliver a positive impact on the organisations or the societies where they lead. Having the right communication skills and having a strong will to make tough decisions are key attributes of a good leader. With this in mind, MBRPLD has developed the “Leading with Impact” module to provide the Government Leaders Program participants both high-level theoretical inputs and relevant practical experience to help strengthen their resolve and allow them to make decisions or communicate in a more productive and focused manner," said Adel Al Shared, CEO, MBRPLD.
Dr. Khulood Eid Al Suwaidi, Assistant Director General of Dubai Medical District for Curative medicine, and participant of Government Leaders, commented: "The Leading with Impact module focused on enriching communication and decision making skills during crisis management. It was a productive experience, which certainly left a strong impression in our quest to become more responsible leaders, in line with the ongoing developments in Dubai in particular and the UAE in general.”
The Leading with Impact module concluded by immersing participants in both simulated and actual situations wherein they were required to apply the previous lessons they have learned. One of the biggest challenges of the activity was making important decisions quickly amid increasing tension and pressure, which made it the capstone of the whole module.
Government Leaders program is a level of MBRPLD that aims to qualify the future leaderships of Dubai Government departments. The program also aims to establish an assembly of unique talented individuals having distinguished potentials, knowledge, skills and experience at all government departments.
