The UAE Government has given its full support to Hardware+Tools Middle East 2010, the trade exhibition which will open tomorrow (Tuesday, May 18th) at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre, UAE and run until May 20th .

Hardware+Tools Middle East is one of the first exhibitions to benefit from the newly opened World Trade Centre metro station.  Visitors can now leave their car at home and ride the metro to the event avoiding traffic and parking concerns.  The trade event, which has been running for over a decade, is the region’s only dedicated exhibition for tools, hardware, materials and machinery and as such is a must attend event for industry professionals in the Middle East.

H.E. Mohammed Bin Abdul Aziz Al Shehi, Director General, UAE Ministry of Economy is patron of Hardware+Tools Middle East, giving a big boost to this premier exhibition related to the construction industry.

H.E. Al Shehi said: "The exhibition industry is an important sector in boosting the country's economy. We welcome all exhibitors and visitors to Hardware+Tools Middle East and encourage the forging of business relationships that occur during the event.”

He added: “It can sometimes be difficult to source certain products and services and this is where Hardware+Tools can assist.”

Mr. Ahmed Pauwels, Chief Executive Officer of Epoc Messe Frankfurt, organisers of Hardware+Tools Middle East, said: “We are in the business of trade and the aim of our exhibitions is to provide a platform where international manufacturers can meet with regional companies, key buyers and business partners.  The support of H.E. Al Shehi and the Ministry of Economy for Hardware+Tools Middle East is invaluable to further encourage this trade.”

He added: “Exhibitions greatly benefit the evolving regional economies, encouraging increased trade as well as boosting the local economy.  This specialised event focusing on tools, hardware, materials and machinery specifically caters to the large construction industry here and introduces new and improved products and services to the region.”

According to data from Dubai-based research firms, projects registering a total value of around AED 3,285 billion (US $900 billion) are under construction or in bidding in the UAE and more than US $1,368 bn-worth of construction projects are currently either at design stage or underway around the Gulf.

Additional show features have been added to Hardware+Tools Middle East 2010 such as a live demo area. This will provide the exhibitors an opportunity to display their products or services in a more interactive environment. Organisers are confident that the trade fair will be a significant event in industry professionals’ annual events calendars and expect to welcome over 6,500 visitors.
