ALBAWABA - The miracle Syrian baby, who was born under the rubble, is alive and in a good health in a hospital. Social media is going haywire with posts about this baby whose family of six plus their aunt was killed because of the destructive earthquake on Monday.

Aya's story was marked as a miracle. She was named by the hospital staff after she was found alive by rescue workers inside her house in Jindires, north-west of Syria. The umbilical cord was still connected to her mother's womb who died after delivering the infant.

When she was found, she was cold and shivering. Obviously, some said that Aya was born in the early morning just after the earthquake struck or hours before.

In Syria, more than 3,100 people were killed in the earthquake, according to figures compiled by the Syrian regime's Health Ministry and the Syrian White Helmets civil defense, Anadolu Agency reported.
It added that over 14,300 people were killed and over 63,000 others were injured by two strong earthquakes which jolted southern turkey on Monday, according to the latest official figures released on Thursday.
