Message of HE Dr. Omar Bin Sulaiman, Governor of DIFC and Vice Chairman of the Central Bank of the UAE on the Occasion of the First Anniversary of the appointment of HH Sheikh Maktoum as Deputy Ruler of Dubai
I offer my congratulations to HH Sheikh Maktoum Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum on the completion of a successful year as the Deputy Ruler of Dubai.
HH Sheikh Maktoum has demonstrated that he can be an extremely dynamic leader who can effectively carry forward the vision of HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
Combining the knowledge and wisdom gained from his father with his own distinctive skills, HH Sheikh Maktoum has brought a unique strengths to his positions as Deputy Ruler and First Deputy Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council.
His strong understanding of his father’s vision has already been evident in the way he has successfully steered key projects and institutions that promote Dubai’s economic diversification and growth. Under his leadership, the Dubai Technology and Media Free Zone Authority has helped the UAE develop into a key player in the global and regional technology and media industries.
HH Sheikh Maktoum’s leadership skills are firmly rooted in the traditional Arab values that his Highness’ family represents – values like integrity and commitment to the welfare of the people of the country. His unique personal qualities have made him a role model among young people in the country and earned him the admiration and respect of all segments of society.
With the blessings of HH Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and Ruler of Abu Dhabi and the continued guidance of HH Sheikh Mohammed, HH Sheikh Maktoum will continue to provide strong leadership to Dubai’s growth.
