For the next fifteen days, Hatta residents will have the chance to enjoy exciting summer activities with Me & My Family’s mobile inflatable tent – all for free. Me & My Family is an initiative developed under the direct supervision of HRH Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein, wife of HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, that provides a variety of fun, entertaining and educational activities for children and families living in and around Dubai during the city’s hot summer months. Launched on the 13th of June in Al Aweer, the mobile inflatable tent proved to be a huge success among residents living in the area. Hundreds of families and their children enjoyed the numerous activities the tent had to offer, from slides and bouncy castles, magic shows, cartoon and puppet shows, face painting, sand painting, colouring, clay workshops and much more. The tent is expected to deliver the same amount of fun and entertainment to the families and children of Hatta. Throughout the summer, the mobile inflatable tent will travel to four different remote areas across Dubai. The tent’s next stops will be Al Hebab and will eventually end its journey in Al Lisaily. Me & My Family offers parents a solution to encourage their children to spend less time in front of the TV or computer during the summer holiday and engage in sports and physical activities, interact with peers and create friendships. Me & My Family is organized in cooperation with Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS) and Dubai Municipality as strategic partners, and with the support of Dubai Civil Defence Department, Dubai Ambulance Services and Dubai Police. The fully equipped mobile inflatable tent, which can accommodate up to 250 visitors at a time, will be open from 5pm to 11pm every day until the 7th of August 2010.
