The Mayor Meets With Representatives from Appeal and First Instance Courts Judges

The Mayor of Amman, Engineer Omar Maani, stated that the Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) departments would start, after the Eid Al Fitr holiday, building a 1 km long and 12 m wide main road in the Appeal and First Instance courts judges housing, in Tareq district “Hawd 3, ‘Ein Arbat.”

During his recent meeting with the judges at GAM headquarters to look into providing infrastructure services for the judges’ housing, the Mayor instructed that designs be drawn up and the construction licenses issued, in preparation for providing the required services.

The Executive Director of Legal Affairs, Ahmed Tahboub, attended the meeting during which Eng. Maani promised to coordinate with the relevant parties, to handle the issue of other services, such as electricity and high pressure lines.

Judge Jihad Al ‘Eteibi reviewed, during the meeting, the basic services the location requires, commending the Mayor’s favorable response and understanding of the judges’ requests.

On another level, a committee of judges was formed during the meeting to coordinate with the Executive Director of Roads, Eng. Ahmed Malkawi.

Eng. Malkawi explained that the street is to be implemented by the cutting method in phases, considering the difficult geographical nature of the location. He added that the side streets that are to branch off this main street will be included in GAM’s 2010 budget, and will be executed in stages.
