Massive drone and missile assault targets US bases in Syria

In recent months, US bases in Syria have faced a series of drone and missile attacks, likely carried out by unknown armed groups suspected of being backed by Iran.

ALBAWABA- A massive attack involving drones and missiles has struck the US military base "Ghazia" in eastern Syria. The US base located in the "Conoco" gas field in Deir Ezzor's countryside has come under heavy missile fire many times since October 2023. 

US forces activated anti-aircraft defenses to counter four waves of missiles targeting the "Conoco" base.

In recent months, US bases in Syria have faced a series of drone and missile attacks, likely carried out by unknown armed groups suspected of being backed by Iran. 

The latest attack on August 14 resulted in casualties, marking a significant escalation in the region.
