Following vandalism a day earlier, masked assailants on Wednesday torched one of Yemen's few churches in the southern port city of Aden, AFP reported.
Witnesses said the unidentified assailants set fire to St. Joseph, a Roman Catholic church in the central neighborhood of Crater. A security official told AFP the arsonists may have been members of al-Qaeda.
There have been several al-Qaeda attacks on Yemen's second-largest city since pro-government loyalists pushed Houthi rebels and their allies out of Aden in July.
Few churches remain open in Yemen as the population is 99 percent Muslim, according to AFP.
