One of the most high profile events in Dubai, Watch & Jewellery Dubai 2006 (WJD) will be dedicating an evening of prestige and luxury in the name of charity.
The Middle East’s biggest jewellery show will hold its gala night at the Shangri-la Dubai on 11 December 2006. All profits from the WJD Gala Dinner will be donated to the Emirates Diabetes Society’s Dubai Brighter Future Program.
The Emirates Diabetes Society is a member association of the International Diabetes Federation which spearheads the annual celebration of the World Diabetes Day. The organisation leads the global campaign for people with diabetes, to raise the awareness level on diabetes around the world.
The WJD Gala Dinner expects one of the most celebrated attendances from high-net-worth individuals, industry icons, and prominent personalities in the UAE’s high social scene.
An auction for precious jewels and a royal painting will take place during the dinner in a bid to raise funds for the Emirates Diabetes Society. The first-ever jewellery industry awards in the UAE will also be held during the Gala Dinner. Awards such as the Best Retail Chain, Best Marketing Campaign, and Best UAE Designer, will be presented in recognition of the valuable contributions made to the industry’s development.
WJD organized by DWTC is gearing up for a more exciting event as it returns to Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre this year. With more than 400 manufacturers from all over the world, Watch and Jewellery Dubai 2006 will present a wide array of dazzling collections.

Watch & Jewellery Dubai 2006 takes place from the 12-16 December 2006 and will be open from 3pm to 10pm from Tuesday to Thursday at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre. On Friday and Saturday, the Show will be open from 4pm to 10pm. Children under the age of 16 are not permitted entry to the exhibition at any time.
