At least one Palestinian died and four were hurt during clashes between rival factions in the southern refugee camp of Ein el-Hilweh Monday, a Palestinian security source told Agence France Presse.
The dead man was identified as Abu Omar, from the Fatah movement. The source said Abu Omar was allegedly killed by a rival from the Islamist Jund al-Sham movement who was himself injured after an argument degenerated into gunfire.
But the National News Agency said two members from Fatah were killed in the fighting. The security source told AFP that three Palestinian women were also injured by stray bullets.
