At least four killed in Cairo bombing attack

Four people were killed, including two foreigners, in a blast near a popular tourist area in the Egyptian capital Cairo on Sunday, security and police sources said. According to Reuters, the blast took place near the historic Khan el-Khalili market in eastern Cairo.

 

Eleven people were hurt, six of them seriously, the sources said.

 

Citing witness reports, the sources said at least one device went off after being thrown from a motorcycle. Bomb disposal experts were trying to defuse a second device which was also thrown.
