At least 15 civilians were killed and 30 wounded Saturday by gunfire from security forces during a funeral in the town of Daraya near Damascus, said the Syrian Observatory of Human Rights. Meanwhile, Tunisia decided Saturday the expulsion of the Syrian ambassador to Tunis and the withdrawal of recognition of the regime of Bashar al-Assad as the legitimate representative of the Syrian people, announced the Tunisian presidency. "Tunisia announces the launch of procedures for the expulsion of the Syrian ambassador to Tunisia and the withdrawal of any recognition of the ruling regime in Damascus, "said the head of state in a message posted on the Facebook. "The only solution (for the crisis in Syria) is the removal from power of Bashar al Assad and the launch of a democratic transition," added the Tunisian President on Saturday.
These decisions were taken after the "bloody massacres" perpetrated Friday night in the city Homs, which have, according to the opposition, killed more than 300 dead and injured over 1,000.
